Clean houses and running skirt cuddles....

It was a simple post in a group I follow....
"who else needs to take a day off of work just to clean the house...."
And I thought....
I am not alone....
I mean... I don't take days off to clean the house....
Lets get that clear...
In fact...
I work WAY too much...
To be honest one of my resolutions... if not the only one...
Was to work less and enjoy life more...
Balance....
The reality is...
I still work...
And somewhere in there I am squeezing in my running...
My Mountain Adventures....
Camping...
Race Supporting....
Racing...
RD duties (which is a whole other story and not as applicable this year)....
Dogs...
And More work....
Oh....
And a new addition....
A man!
My house (mostly my bedroom)....
Looks like a running store gave birth....
Running tights...
Socks...
Bras....
Tanks...
Running Skirts...
More  Running skirts...
Shoes...
Jackets...
Hoodies...
Pull overs...
Fleeces...
A Bazillion hair bands...
And more running skirts litter my humble retreat....
The bathroom is jammed with running books...
Lotions...
Epsom slats...
Bubble bath....
More books...
A scale....(of course)
And sports oil...
(OK the odd bottle of wine sits on the bathroom counter)...

So often I've looked at these amazing women, with immaculate homes...
Perfect race times...
Children in every sport...
Baking...
Family meals every night...
And I think BAM... do they have it all together...
Until I read that post...
That one perfect post...
A confession of a stranger saying WAIT!!!
I don't have it together...
In fact...
I call in sick to work in order to clean my house...
because running is first....
And I thought...
FINALLY!!!
Someone I understand....

So tonight as I came home to get my work out on...
I cleaned up a poopy dog bum...
Gave doggie baths...(because they smelled like poopy dog bum)
Cleaned the tub...
Made pizza dough...
And worked out...
Felt like a SUPERSTAR...
And  after my soak in epsom salts I will cuddle with the pile of clean running clothes on my bed because I CAN!
